Walking and Lakes

Hike from Chalet Clair to some of the spectacular neighbouring lakes and bio pools. Nothing beats the incredible tranquility of alpine summer holidays. A walk in the mountains to a beautiful lake for a peaceful picnic or a brief swim is the stuff of magical memories.

Try your hand at some of the Tour de France's toughest mountain climbs, or use the lifts for some downhill mountain biking on challenging terrain.

Road & mountain biking

Serre Chevalier is home to two major rivers: the Guisane and the Durance. Both these rivers offer excellent rafting and kayaking experiences.

Other activities

Although the valley of Serre Chevalier offers many adventurous activities in the summer months, it also offers much more. Briançon is Europe's highest town with a rich culture and history for you to explore. Ten minutes up the vallee, you'll find the botanical gardens of Lautaret and the thermal baths at Monêtier-les-Bains.
