Terms and Conditions
These terms and conditions outline the rules and regulations for the use of Chalet Clair and its Websites.
Chalet Clair is located at: 1248 Route de Briançon, La Salle-Les-Alpes, 05240.
1. Reservations

A booking is confirmed once we have received confirmation of your desired dates and a 50% deposit.

The person making the booking must be over 18 and is responsible for the group and any payments due.
2. Payments
.

A non-refundable deposit of 50% of the total booking price is required at the time of reservation.
-
The balance must be paid by the start of the ski season (6th December 2026) or if booked after that, no later than 8 weeks before arrival.
-
For bookings made less than 8 weeks before arrival, the full amount is payable at the time of booking.
3. Cancellations by Guests
-
Cancellations must be made in writing (email is acceptable).
-
Deposits are non-refundable. If you need to cancel your booking and we are able to re-let the chalet for the same dates, we may, at our discretion, refund some or all of the deposit paid (excluding any non-recoverable costs or discounts we may have offered to secure the replacement booking). Any such refund will be considered a goodwill gesture and is not guaranteed.

If you cancel within 8 weeks of arrival, 100% of the booking cost is payable.

We strongly recommend taking out comprehensive travel insurance to cover cancellation, travel delays, medical costs, and personal belongings.
4. Cancellations by Us

In the unlikely event that we need to cancel your holiday (e.g. due to circumstances beyond our control), you will receive a full refund of all monies paid.

Our liability does not extend to travel costs, insurance, or other expenses.
5. Prices

Prices are quoted in Great British Pounds and are per chalet/per person as stated.

Tourist tax (taxe de séjour) is payable locally in addition, where applicable.
6. Arrival & Departure

Check-in from 16:00 on arrival day.
-
Check-out by 10:00 on departure day.
-
Early check-in/late check-out may be available by prior arrangement.
7. Guest Responsibilities

Guests are expected to respect the property, contents, and neighbours.

Any damage or breakages must be reported; we reserve the right to charge for repairs or replacements.

Smoking is not permitted inside the chalet.
8. Catering & Dietary Needs
-
For catered stays, please advise us of any dietary requirements at least 14 days before arrival. We will do our best to accommodate them but cannot guarantee meeting all requests.
9. Liability

We accept no liability for injury, loss, or damage to guests or their property while staying at the chalet, except where caused by our negligence.

Guests are responsible for arranging their own travel, medical, and winter sports insurance.
10. Force Majeure

We cannot accept liability or pay compensation for events outside our reasonable control (including but not limited to: natural disasters, adverse weather, strikes, epidemics/pandemics, travel disruptions, or resort closures).
11. Governing Law

These terms and conditions are governed by French law. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the French courts.

Social Media Giveaway – Terms & Conditions
1. Eligibility

Open to entrants aged 18+ only.

Entrants must follow Chalet Clair on Facebook or Instagram.

No purchase necessary to enter.
2. How to Enter

To enter, comment on the competition post tagging six friends you’d like to bring.
-
Each comment with six tagged friends counts as one entry.
-
Bonus entries: share the post to your feed/story and tag Chalet Clair so the share is visible.
3. Prize
-
The winner will receive two complimentary guest places when booking Chalet Clair for a group of eight (8) guests.
-
The prize is valid for the 2025/26 winter season only, subject to availability.
-
The prize must be redeemed as part of a group booking (see Section 7 below).
-
No cash alternative, substitution, or transfer is available.
4. Winner Selection & Notification

Winner will be chosen at random using an online draw tool (e.g. Comment Picker).

Closing date: 30th September. Winner announced on Chalet Clair’s Facebook/Instagram pages.

If the winner does not respond within 7 days, a new winner will be selected.
5. General Conditions

Chalet Clair reserves the right to verify all entries and refuse any that do not comply with these rules.

Chalet Clair reserves the right to amend or cancel the competition at any time without notice.

By entering, participants agree to these Terms & Conditions.
6. Disclaimer

This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, or administered by, or associated with, Facebook or Instagram.

By entering, participants release Facebook and Instagram from any responsibility.
7. Booking & Prize Redemption

The prize consists of two complimentary guest places when booking Chalet Clair for a group of eight (8) paying guests.
-
A valid booking therefore requires a minimum of six (6) paying guests; the prize covers the additional two (2) guests free of charge.
-
The prize applies to Chalet Clair’s standard catered package (including accommodation, breakfast, afternoon tea, and three-course dinners for six out of seven days) unless otherwise stated.
-
Additional extras (e.g. airport transfers, lift passes, equipment hire, insurance) are not included in the prize and remain payable by the guests.
-
Dates are subject to availability and must fall within the 2025/26 winter season. School holiday weeks are be excluded for this promotion.
-
To redeem, the winner must contact Chalet Clair directly and quote the giveaway prize before confirming their booking.
-
The prize is non-transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash or credit.
